Getting access

1

Create your BinaryBridge account

Go to binarybridge.ca and sign up with your email, or continue with Google. One account gives you access to all BinaryBridge apps.

2

Activate BB Retail

Open Subscriptions in the portal and choose BB Retail. The Free plan activates instantly — no credit card needed.

3

Launch and complete setup

Click "Open BB Retail" in the portal. On first launch you'll choose your store's language, country and currency, and enter your business details. These appear on receipts and invoices.

4

Claim your register

On the device that will act as the cash register, open Manage → Terminals and claim it. If this is your first terminal, BB Retail creates "Main Register (T01)" automatically. The device then boots straight to the PIN pad.

5

Add staff and PINs

In Manage → Staff, add your cashiers and give each a 4–6 digit PIN. Cashiers sign in on the register with the store code + their PIN — no email or password needed.

💡 Owners always sign in through the portal (binarybridge.ca). Cashiers use the store code shown in Manage → Terminals.

Purchasing & upgrading

1

Open your portal subscriptions

Sign in at binarybridge.ca and open Subscriptions → BB Retail.

2

Pick a plan and billing cycle

Choose Pro or Business, monthly or yearly. Yearly saves about two months.

3

Pay securely with Stripe

Checkout is handled by Stripe in CAD. Your plan activates the moment payment completes — no waiting, no reinstalling.

4

Upgrade or downgrade anytime

Plan changes apply immediately across all your registers. Downgrades keep your data; features above your plan simply lock until you upgrade again.

A typical day

1

Open a shift

The cashier enters the store code and PIN, then opens a shift with the starting cash float. A shift must be open before any sale can go through. If another cashier's shift is still open on the same register, a handover prompt appears — take over or continue under the existing shift.

2

Sell

Scan barcodes or tap product tiles — the register works on phones and tablets too, with a slide-up cart on mobile. Split payments, discounts, customer accounts, pay-by-QR, physical card terminal and gift cards are all on the payment screen. Refund a past sale right from the register; card payments made through Stripe are refunded automatically back to the customer's card. No internet? Cash sales queue on the device and sync automatically.

3

Close the shift

Count the drawer and close the shift — the Z-report shows expected vs actual cash. Shifts left open for 24 hours are auto-closed by the system so stale shifts never block the next day.

4

Restock and receive

Suppliers → Purchase orders creates an order, and Receive updates stock and re-averages each product's cost. 🤖 Import from an invoice reads a supplier PDF or photo into a draft order you review first — nothing reaches your stock until you approve it.

5

Review reports

Open Reports and switch between Sales, Inventory, Financial and Shifts tabs. Financial shows gross profit, margins and COGS; Shifts shows per-shift detail with charts. All tabs are fully bilingual.

6

Close the day

A manager runs Day Close for the immutable end-of-day record, then checks Statements for the GL journal and export.

🤖 AI tools

Every suggestion is reviewed before it is saved. AI never changes your stock, prices or catalogue on its own.

1

Fill product details

Open a new product, scan the barcode or type a rough name, then press Fill with AI. It suggests the English and Arabic shelf names, a category from your own list, and a short description. It only fills fields you have left empty, and an unrecognised barcode returns nothing rather than a guess.

2

Ask your sales

On the Reports page, type a question the way you would say it: which five products sold slowest this month, who is my best customer, how much cash did I take on Friday. You get a table, and you can open the query it ran if you want to check it.

3

Import a supplier invoice

Purchase orders → Import from an invoice. Upload a PDF or a photo of a delivery note and the line items become a draft purchase order — quantities, unit costs and the supplier reference. You review every line and link it to a product before anything is received into stock. The second invoice from the same supplier links itself, because BB Retail remembers their item codes.

💡 AI messages are shared across all three tools: 5 a month on Free, 25 on Pro, 100 on Business. They reset automatically each month.
